Another temple in Kedarnath Badrinath Yatra is Badrinath temple which is situated in the lap of Nar and Narayan peaks having the Neelkanth peak in the background. The temple is one of the five badris and being the largest and the most revered it is also known as Badri Vishal. It is said that a philosopher of 8th century, Adi Guru Shankaracharya established this temple to unite the Hindu religion and built four pilgrimages in the four corners of India so that pilgrims from all over the country can visit the entire India through Char Dham Yatra.

KEDARNATH BADRINATH YATRA

Kedarnath : Amidst the spectacular mountainscapes of the royal Kedarnath range stands one of the 12 ‘Jyotirlingas’ of Kedar or Lord Shiva. Lying at an height of 3584 mts. on the head of river Mandakini, the shrine of Kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the Hindus.

Badrinath : Badrinath is a famouse Hindus holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is the most important of the 4 spots in India’s Chardham pilgrimage. Badrinath temple is the major attraction in Badrinath. According to legend Shankara discovered a black stone image of Lord Badrinarayan made of Saligram stone in the Alaknanda River.

  • ITINERARY

    Day 01: Delhi to Haridwar (230km/6hrs)
    Arrival Delhi Railway Station, Meet and Assist further drive to Hardwar, on the way lunch. Afterward drive to Hardwar transfer to your Hotel. Visit Har ki Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening. Back to your hotel, Dinner and Night halt.

    Day 2 : Hariwdar – Rudraprayag (165 Km /6 -7 Hrs drive)
    After breakfast drive for Rudraprayag.
    Visit on the way places like Tehri Dam and Conference of river Alaknanda and Mandakni.
    Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

    Day 03: Rudraprayag – Gaurikund – Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Rudraprayag. (77 Km drive and 20 km trek one way)
    After breakfast drive for Gaurikund.
    Visit on the way places like Guptkashi temple. Start your trek (By walk, horse, pony or dolly) to Kedarnath.
    Visit Kedarnath Temple return back to Gaurikund or Rudraprayag.
    Overnight stay at Rudraparayag.

    Day 04: Rudraprayag – Badrinath (165 Km / 4-5 Hrs drive)
    After breakfast drive through beautiful forests to Badrinath.
    Visit on the way Narsingh temple and Shankracharaya Math in Joshimath.
    Visit Auli at your own Expense.
    Visit Badrinath Temple in the evening.
    Overnight stay at Badrinath.

    Day 05: Badrinath – Rudraprayag (165Km / 4-5 Hrs drive)
    After breakfast visit Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the origin of the Saraswati River.
    Visit on the way places like Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, and Vishnuprayag.
    Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

    Day 06: Rudraprayag – Haridwar (165 Km / 5-6 Hrs drive)
    After breakfast drive for Haridwar.
    Visit on the way places like Deoprayag, Vasistha Gufa & Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula in Rishikesh.
    Overnight stay at Haridwar.

    Day 07: Haridwar – Delhi (230 Km / 6-7 Hrs drive)
    After breakfast visit Daksha Temple, Shri Yantra Temple and Maya Devi Temple.
    Later drive towards Delhi.
    Dropping at Delhi in the evening.
